The choice of real ale is good
The food is just overpriced freezer food
If you get a bad pint or bad food (quite often) and complain the screaming owner will throw you out!
They hate kids!!!
Is a big shame because this pub run by nice people would be great!!!!

What a gem of a pub. Very friendly welcome by landlord and locals alike. Dof friendly and a great range of real ales. My fafourite of the visit was the Oakham Citra. Will certainly be returning for a real ale appreciation session.

Ordered a meal then discovered that they did not take cards. No problem. Landlord trusted me to return later that day to pay. What a great place. Food was excellent as was the beer. Highly recommended

Walked from our hotel in Miskin to get here as we stayed near Cardiff to see the play off finals over the May bank holiday weekend. Well worth the hike. What a great bunch of friendly locals, fantastic selection of well-kept reasonbly priced beers, they even cooked us a meal though the food was finished, we were made very welcome and the locals Neville, Dylwen and Edward treated us like old friends. This is a proper old local pub, for real ale drinkers, but they also do cider, perry, lager etc and good food for families. It is not a fancy lager joint. Give it a try.
