Historic pub with charming old fashioned interior. Wherry and GK IPA on tap so the Wherry is the obvious choice. Appeared to have a limited menu on the Saturday lunchtime of my visit. I had a Lord Nelson burger (did not realise the Lord was fond of burgers) which was OK, average rather than brilliant. Staff were very friendly.

My friend's Wherry was good and I had a bottle of the Nelson's blood, which I just had to try. My beer could have been a tad warmer, ideally, but it was a cold, crisp day outside and maybe that's why.

That said, I have to say how unexpectedly good all the food was (we four all had different meals and all were generous and tasty) and all served by charming barmaids.

very friendly.

Tried a visit whilst driving back from the Real Ale Shop. Not open, however, the back door was so I managed to have a wonder around inside and it was a very cosy little pub with beer served from the cask. They had Heacham Gold on but couldn't see what else. I didn't try the pub as such as it wasn't open, but it is in a nice village and for character is looks like it is worth a visit) - demoted from a Good Pub Guide main entry in 2010 to a lucky dip for some reason?

Lovely little pub with great beer served straight from the barrell. Bar food a little pricey but always good as is the restaurant food.
