A couple of pints of Yorkshire Moors went down very well yesterday as did the very tasty ox cheek and Porter pie. Largely silent couples at the neighbouring tables didn't help the atmosphere in the bar though.

Brewery Tap - open at 11:30am and filled with punters on a brewery tour by midday.

A couple of pints of their Yorkshire Classic went down well.

Ok but the beer wasn't that exciting - spent too much time pleasing dogs, not enough pleasing humans.

Great pub in a stunning location, beer (Cropton Brewery Tap) is superb along with the food. The service can get a little strained if busy but it is well worth it. My only other comment, it would be nice if they had a guest ale from somewhere to compliment their own range but on the whole an outstanding country pub

Country pub, that brews its' own beers, ranging from 3.6% to over 6%. Bottles can be bought to take away.
Tried a pint of the Amber (5%), not to my liking, bit of harsh taste. Next, a pint of IPA (5%), which |I would highly recommend. Then a pint of Blackout (5%), which was a stout with a strong but strange treacle flavour, unsure about this one, might have to go back and have another pint.
Place does food, the chips are possibly the best I've ever had in a pub.
Dog friendly. Only gets 8 out of 10, as too family friendly. If dogs have to be kept on leads, so should children.
