user reviews of Cambridge Brew House, Cambridge

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Once upon a time I would have been amazed by a place like this.

Now, having been spoiled by the amount of quality ale out there, sadly that wasn't the case.

Own brews were underwhelming, prices exorbitant. Had a guest from Colchester too.

Very busy on a Saturday night.

The Cambridge Brew House felt like it had more of a focus on food than beer. But it is a large building spread over 2 floors. There is a large dining area upstairs that was not in use during our visit. Their own beers on cask were King's Parade, Brewhouse IPA, Night Porter & Misty River. They had others on keg. Guest cask ales were Brewsters Hophead & Colchester Metropolis. They also had a real cider - Side-R Elderflower from Glebe Farm. I did quite like the place though.

An American diner style with a Brewery that produces crap.We left and were desperate NOT to drink our beers.

Really didn't think much to this place. The beers (both in quality and choice) were average, the prices not. Staff seemed to have no way of keeping tabs on who they should be serving next when the place gets busy, leading to the typical Cambridge rudeness of someone saying yes when asked if they're next even though they've just arrived at the bar.
