Getting better and better with new manager since September. New music policy with interesting bands he's trying to turn it into an arts venue (without the pretentiousness that an arts venue might have) - a sort of arts pub if you like. Accoustics not great but good PA and excellent engineer. Food is going to change to Italian (pasta and stuff) - should be interesting, friendly staff, nice beer, interesting locals. And it's a music venue which is an increasingly rare thing in Stoke Newington. uptoeleven - 31 Dec 2004 19:42 |
Ho hum really... some very interesting bands, bad accoustics, kinda soulless interior. Vietnamese food on offer but I haven't been able to figure out when the kitchen's open. Friendly staff and the one of the very few music venues in Stokey. Worth it. Tomster - 8 Dec 2004 20:31 |
Really chilled, funky and weird bands play there, pool table (which is always a bonus), cheap(ish) drinks, but don't eat the food - it tastes like greasy plastic. Harmony Bax - 3 Nov 2004 16:53 |
