Excellent pub with a rotating offering of 5-6 cask ales in perfect nick, often served from wood casks. Also plenty of kegs and bottles from Samuel Smith.

The pub doesn't look great from outside, but once you venture in, you'll be glad you did. The landlord is friendly and offered about three real ales all of which were from wooden casks. The pub itself seems to be a 'work in progress', but it is slowly being turned into a very friendly and great looking place thanks to the obvious care shown by the landlord and his locals.
This was the first time I have been to any pub in Castleford, but should I pass by again, I'll certainly call again.

This pub is the West riding S.P.B.W branch and serves all its beer from wooden casks. It's a cracking pub and has stayed true to its original roots. Every beer we tried was spot on ,and most of the beers in bottles are from Sam smiths. Another landlord who was friendly and passionate about his beers and the pub. I was surprised that there was no spbw membership forms or magazines. Easily the best pub in Castleford.

The Junction features in the 2014 GBG and with good reason.

In the centre of town and just a stones throw from the bus station.

This is not a Sam Smiths pub but does have a very good range of their beers available plus 6 guest ales. My choice of Walls Pale and Easy @ 3.8% was very good and with in keeping with my ale choices of the day.

Traditional pub inside but the exterior doesn't make you think there's much hidden inside. Snug room with original fireplace in a glass partitioned area.

Original tiles in the toilets.

Relatively busy and got busier as I sat enjoying my pint.

Very decent pub that is much better than it looks from the outside
