Despite not being (at all) local, we were made to feel extremely welcome here last week. Almost everyone else knew each other by first names and the landlord and lady knew everyone too. If had the feel of one of the old parlour pubs, which were basically just someone's front room and used by those nearby. Beers were all good with a Gadd's She Sells Sea Shells and Goacher's stout tried and tested. We really enjoyed this place and would recommend.

I believe this was the first of many micro pubs which are proving so popular especially in the East Kent area.
Like most micros it's a friendly place. It would be unwise for someone to open a micro pub if they did not wish to spend time chatting to the clientele!
A neat well kept corner pub with a good selection of real ales. Gypsy Hill Beatnik, Titanic They Think It's All Over, Great Western Old Hibby and a Blue Monkey were all available when I was there. There was also several ciders.
As with many micros the toilets are cramped and the opening hours should be checked before visiting.
well worth a visit!

A pleasant concept of a small community bar - wouldn't really call it a pub as such. Decent ales served straight, 'Butchers Block' style of tables layout. Worth a drop by.

Been here 3 times over the past year, most recently 2 weeks ago, an excellent example of a micro pub

Enjoyed our visit on a cold December's night last year, but it was a bit quiet - the micro pub concept is an interesting one but it doesn't make for the most lively of experiences if the place is half empty, as it was when we were at The Just Reproach.

I'd imagine it really comes into its own in the summer, being so close to the sea.
