| Large black-and-white timber framed building with C16 origins but heavily altered in C19. Formerly a hotel, this is a smart, well-furnished popular pub with a good value carvery on a Sunday. The restaurant was fully booked but we sat in the bar (which is like an overflow dining room) next to the woodburning stove.
