Much preferred this bar in (what was for my money) its heyday about 7-8 years ago. Back then minor gripes aside, it was a pleasant place to have a couple of drinks on a weeknight, tried to do some different things and was as good a place as any in the area to end your Friday or Saturday night. There were lots of different beers and cocktails to try and the mood and crowd seemed eclectic and slightly off-beat.
On more recent visits (on the rare occasions it seems to open these days), it seems that a lot of the better thing about have been sacrificed in an attempt to appeal to a broader and more mainstream punter. The music is much less varied, the bouncers seem less inclined to let people in, the range of drinks has shrunk and the prices haven't. Still not completely irredeemable but a sad shadow of what it once was and as it never seems to open on weekday evenings anymore, the chance of just having a nice couple of pints in here in relatively comfortable surrounds has gone and now you can only squeeze in alongside the already drunk hordes on a weekend evening.
Sad to see what was initially a welcome and unusual addition to the Enfield drinking scene slowly fading and turning into something altogether less agreeable.

"...[A]part from the george pub which closes at 11:30 there is nowhere else in enfield town even half decent."

Tells you all you really need to know about the value of the last review, doesn't it?

people are always so quick to jump against certain venues and critisise for any little thing and then come online and write about it. if you are going to write a review on something lets in fact speak the truth. bar form is located in a great spot directly opposite enfield town train station. i have been to this venue maybe three times prior to new management taking over recently and have to say it was a dark and dingy place to drink. since the new owners have been in there they have transferred the place into somewhere to go to have a good night, nice vibe, friendly crowd and most importantly good drinks priced very well. the cocktails they sell at the moment are 2nd to none!! the staff do seem very friendly to me, and that includes the friendly gentlemen on the door that will greet you on your entrance. the new seating and decor is a thumbs up from me as the place is alot more bubbly and bright. and it has been alot more busier lately as aposed to afew months ago. this is definately the place me and my girls go to on a friday or saturday night, as apart from the george pub which closes at 11:30 there is nowhere else in enfield town even half decent. ps the toilets do have hand-dryers so i am not to sure as to what the previous review was all about. but hey everyone is entitled to their own opinion i guess. this place gets a 10 out of 10 from me! keep up the good work! x

So, the owners of the last debacle leave and new ones arrive. Who knew it could get worse?

With the bar staff ranging from ambivalent to rude and a toilet that no longer has the hand drier, but a (and i kid you not) hanging towel, to dry your hands, this place is currently the most disgusting place you could ever dream of drinking in.

Bar Form is tucked out of the way opposite Enfield Town train station

Upon entering, youre immediately thrust into the crazy, unique little world of Bar Form. A small space on first appearances, but the lenght of the bar takes you into a space where as the night goes on chairs are pushed back and people get dancing. Mismatched chairs and sofas gives an interesting twist as large chandelier-like arty lampshades bring a warm glow. The tripped out living room style continues with bookcase wallpaper and flip down wooden seats that wouldn't seem out of place in a 1970's church.

The most impressive thing about Bar Form is that it tries hard and is not scared to give things a go. Hosting a wide range of events from DJ Competitions, fashion and film exhibitions, burlesque dancers and promoting local bands. There is always something going on and you really feel that the staff believe in it.
The drinks aren't bad either, with a good selection of imaginative cocktails and shots.... Jam dougnut is a must! There are beers on tap and the interesting spirits glistening in the low lights behind the bar. Of course not to forget the selection of retro sweets such as flying saucers and cola bottles!

Bar Form is a little gem in what is an ever depleting Enfield nightlife. I was hoping the opening of Club 108 would inject life back into the Enfield party scene however the tiresome George and dated Rattlers have come to haunt enfield.

Bar Form should really be situated in the shady streets Shoreditch but thankfully it is not. Instead it offers the people of Enfield a chance to escape and enjoy a night with a fun mix of drinkers who are just out to have good night.
