Chef and Brewer pub/restaurant with a nice view over the bay. It's only a short bus ride out of Swansea. The beer range was reasonably good for a Chef and Brewer - Marstons Pedigree, Thwaites Wainwright, Felinfoel Best Bitter & Otter Bitter. There was a rather amusing moment when the Otter pumpclip fell off and smashed on the tile floor. The beer had also gone at the same time! Maybe some kind of omen. Westons Old Rosie was also available from the box. As you would expect, most people were eating. Many tables were reserved for later on in the evening. At least they posted the times they were reserved from on each table. Probably not worth the journey out of Swansea for, but you might as well give it a go, if passing towards the Mumbles.

More of a food place these days, we were stopped at the door by a friendly girl, asking if we were eating. We weren't.
I had a reasonable couple of pints, before nipping round the corner to The Mumbai for a curry.

I would visit here again.

Seems like this place has undergone another change of management recently ( for the worse ) as it it now an expensive place to visit, and where the staff are totally useless, and couldn't care less about you. I won't be going back here again, and I have only heard negative things about the place lately, usually involving the price of meals, and the ridiculous waiting times for food. .......

Well, having praised this establishment with my previous comments, I must now issue you with a warning about this place. We have eaten here recently on two occasions, and although the food / service was very good, BUT, when it came to paying the bill, it was a LOT more than we expected. So obviously we questioned the bill, and on BOTH visits they had added an " extra " drink / meal / side dish, on to the table ......which we had not ordered. So be careful, and check you bill thoroughly Folks, as they may do the same to you !!!!!.......

They took the difference off, after we queried the bill, but that is NOT the point......

Just called in here this afternoon, after being down the Gower, and was suprised to see how busy it was on a Sunday afternoon. So busy in fact, we couldn't find a table to sit at, and there were a few people waiting before us. So they must be doing something right here nowdays. Great to see in fact........
