user reviews of the Anchor Inn, Walton on the Wolds

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Paula and the team have turned The Anchor into the best pub for miles around. Beer range good and always in top notch condition. Always TT Landlord, Bass and either/or a Leatherbritches or Charnwood guest. Every aspect of the pub is spot on. Warm and friendly, darts nights, Busy, food served twice a week (fish and chips Wednesday, Sunday roast), lovely decor.... The front garden is a dreamy sun spot in the evening, the back ideal for dogs and more secluded. Walton on the Wolds is picture perfect as well, and the walking around here is top notch.. We live in Barrow, and the walk across the fields in summer is amazing.. Not often I give a pub ten, but the Anchor gets it!

Very quiet village pub with just one other customer inside and a handful outside at both the front and the rear. A nice setting and pleasant inside too. Taylor Landlord, Fullers London Pride & Adnams Bitter were the 3 ales. Probably gets busier later in the evening with locals.

Visited May 31st on a very warm evening. Pub and garden were packed. The front garden is very well tended and catches the evening sun... Beers were TT Landlord, Fullers London Pride & Adnams Southwold. A very nice pub... Give it a try!

Very friendly, sleepy pub in a very quiet village. Black Sheep, Landlord and another bitter on tap on last visit. Very nice front garden overlooking the village. Also serves good, simple food.
