now a Greene King chain pub, so you know exactly what you'll get. Microwave meals dominating in one big soulless room.

We have a caravan in heysham and all my family go throughout the year. We all have children. My youngest daughter is 15. However this pub has thrown us out when going to dine after 7pm. I think this is absolutely atrocious treatment. No signs outside saying children not allowed indeed family dining is encouraged and there is a family area. Last night myself my partner and my 15 year old went in, sat down in the family area just after 7pm when a member of staff asked my daughter how old she was and proceeded to tell her she wasn't allowed in! All the people in the pub were staring at us I have never felt so embarrassed, and so insulted. I felt as if I'd brought a scabby dog into the pub. I WILL NEVER GO IN THERE AGAIN NOR WILL ANY OF MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS. SHAME ON YOU - YOU SHOULD NOT BE IN BUSINESS. Reading the other comments perhaps another line of business would be more suited where customer care was not such a high priority!

Went here on Tuesday ,great meals but the service was not the greatest. The girls serving us did not smile once and looked as if they did not want to be there working. Don,t think we will be going again

This could be a real good pub. However I have got to agree with Boozeyfloozys coments regarding the landlord.
I think he must have been expelled from charm school.
Food is cheap and cheerful and its a good pub to go to watch the football, after that there is not a lot going for it. Mainly down to the landlord and his attitude.
I haven't heard anyone say anything positive about this guy.
