it's now closed -along with half of Coventry. The area in the vicinity of the station is one vast building site where everything is closed (curry house opposite the station, station buffet etc) Only retail outlet in station was a small Smith. Add to that there are diversions for cars and pedestrians that add 10 minutes to get the short distance from the station to the city centre means you need to do a bit of planning and add a bit of time if you want an ale before your train.

Opened out in to one big room (from the original multi-roomed layout) with pool table, estate feel and clientelle to match. No ale and no likliehood of any .Had a pint of Stella while pondering on the "We Are a Responsible Drinks Retailer" as a trio of half sloshed middle aged bints with too much horse flesh on display wobbled past to go for a smoke in the 'garden' (garden being the path down the side of the pub affording a view of the railway). Old tiling under the bar was the only redeeming feature. If you are really desperate for an alcohol fix this is the only pub near the station.
