please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

I visited this pub about two years ago and was somewhat concerned to see that the new operators were allowing their small children to run around the bar area with no clothes on!! Anyway, I stayed way until last night. Hoping for an improvement I was horrified to find this once fine eating establishment is now little more than a tip!! This pub, situated in an extremely affluent area, is an utter disgrace. It's dirty and it resembles a city pub what with the walls being used as blackboards for advertising!!

This place should be given a wide berth, it is truly AWFUL!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Stayed here when working locally and also used it from time time as lunchtime bolt hole. Beer well kept and the food is very good. Friendly bar staff and a very pleasant local.

What can I add to the previous remarks? Friendly welcome and the 6X was in good nick (not my favorite I hasten to add). They were also serving Hobgoblin, Ringwood Best and Fortyniner (no Marston's connection here, is there?? LOL!!!) Bit of a food house, but aren't most country pubs. 5/10

Tending to be a little more of a "restaurant" these days, it is still a good place to stop. The village is more than a little "chocolate box" posh. This has meant that the pub is up-market. The beers are all right; the food is very good and surprisingly cheap, for what it is. Very clean.
