My mate's pub so I would say it is good, but I would not drink there if it was a dump, food good and if the guvnor is not rowing with his wife, you may be able to get a drink.

Went in here for an evening meal almost a year ago. Food was excellent as was the service. Friendly bar staff too. Dad had his usual gammon steak and was very impressed (he's a bit of a connoisseur when it comes to gammon!).Great choice of beer. For anyone thinking of eating there at the weekend I'd advise booking a table as they become rare around about 8pm. I'm looking forward to my next visit. Fish, chips and peas for me !

It's been a couple of months since I've enjoyed a visit to this gem in the green belt, but I'll be checking out the new decor soon as. The Nags Head of old had an excellent tap room with a varied selection of "guests" to compliment the "standards" on engine. Match this to an extensive selection of Malts and you have a pub where you'd need to make some serious promises to the nominated driver to take your turn next. Let's hope the revamp isn't a reorg.

At the moment the pub being revamped, when it's fully complete it will have the feel of a tradictional victorian pub. They serve pub food daily 12pm until 7pm and they have sunday roasts which are lovely, they also have live music with Jazz nights being the favourate ever 2nd and 4th thursday in the month. A friendly atmosphere, with friendly regulars and staff. So come down and see us for some good old tradictional victorian fun.
