Looks tired and dated from the outside and inside is slightly better but it’s how I like pubs to be,traditional and welcoming as this place is.
Three very friendly barmaids and some characters drinking their lives away but they bothered no one and I will pop in here again on my next visit to this lovely town

Been to this pub several times on my trips to devon and will keep going back, more of a locals pub than a tourist pub and thats the best thing about this pub the locals who use this pub are friendly and always say hello and have a a chat, proper little community pub with a good juke box thats always playing good tunes, the inside may not be to everyone's taste as its a bit dated but I'd rather sit in this pub in teignmouth than any other because they don't make you feel like an outsider. I've rated it as a 9 due to no real ale, but this is a real pub and doesn't need real ale to survive.

No real ale on my visit.

Went in here expecting the worst but was very impressed with the place.
This is a rough and ready no frills boozer which isn't trying to be anything else.
It had a cracking atmosphere inside and a friendly (drunk) landlord.
I was on the Cheddar valley cider which at 2.65 a pint was a good price.
The best and cheapest pub in Teignmouth i know of.

10/10

If you want decent ales don't be fooled by the "brewery" in this pub's name and head to the blue anchor next door. This place is a bit tired and slightly unsavoury.5/10
