To Iceni Explorer, wrong Prince Alfred I'm afraid. You were in the one in Maida Vale. At least the Canaries won!

Close to Warwick Avenue tube, this is a interesting pub for anyone interested in pub architecture. One of the few pubs to stil have partitioned bars and snob screens.

I visited after the Norwich victory at QPR so was in good spirits. Friendly bar staff, Youngs Ordinary and Winter Ale on offer, both in good condition. Expensive but standard for this area of London.

I was wondering what became of the old Ducks and Drakes, where I used to hang out with Scottish and Irish friends (among others) in the early 1970s. Sorry the name has changed, but the exterior looks fairly recognizable (apart from the flower stall!!)

The inside is way too posh for my taste, but I guess it's pretty for tourists.

Had some memorable times in the Ducks back in the bohemian heyday of Bayswater and Notting Hill area. Ah, well....time goes by.....

If you want a soulness place and bar staff with extreme attitude then this is the place for you; if not, avoid!! Our chosen tender really should consider a career well away from customer services!!!
