Nice friendly pub (staff and customers), the sandwiches looked good but we were only here for the beer. 2 from Otter, well kept and good value

This is a rather odd establishment, tucked away down a side street.
Half the place is like a tea room the other a small bar area.
My pint of otter bitter was of a very good quality.
I thought it was ok in here my only complaint is that at 3 in the afternoon when the place was busy everyone had to leave as it shuts.
Why do these pubs do this?
Ridiculous.

Pleased to report that the beer quality here is now excellent, avery ecelctic bunch or locals and the grub and lunchtime is proper "pub grub" of the highest quality at very very reasonable prices.

Tucked away in a little alley way off the High Street near Boots. Friendly people and a bit like sitting in your front parlour. Beer can be a gamble but generally good
