Had lunch at this charming pub today. The beer on handpump was Long Man Best Bitter which was extremely pleasant. We had lunch and my sea bass was excellent and will not hesitate to return. A very good recommendation by 'Lord Trousers' of nearby Peter Christian!

This is more restaurant than pub but there are bar stools and there were customers just sitting at the bar enjoying a pint. There is no pressure to eat there either.

This is the only place I know locally that sells Palmers ales and very nice they are too. There was a Best Bitter IPA at 4.2% and Copper Bitter at 3.7%, I tied the Copper Bitter which was a lovely copper colour as it's name suggests and had plenty of flavour.

If you do decide to eat here you will find the prices a bit on the high side but I thought the food was excellent and well worth the extra cost. The staff were all friendly and helpful too.

There's a pleasant garden and decent sized car park too.

Visited the Green Man for the second time in a matter of months, this time for a Gourmet Wine Evening. The food was sublime and went really well with the wines. Normally a big fan of Aussie Shiraz's but the Cabernet Merlot was better. Everone there seemed to have been to one of these evenings before nad really rated it. The staff very accommodating to my partners dietrey requirements so a good time had by all. Stumbled home very happy indeed.
