Impressive real ale pub with a good choice of ales from light/pale through to strong stout, plus real cider. Friendly and efficient service. Tasty pub snack food: assorted cobs, scotch eggs and pies. Well worth a visit. 9/10.

Nice beer. Disappointing to hear the current landlord publicly mocking another real ale pub in the city, particularly as the pub had only just opened.

Another visit here and found friendly customers and staff. Not busy, but it was a Monday evening. The House ale brewed by Eric was ok, the staff would not tell me what brewery it had come from, but informed locals reckon its from Dem Bones Brewery,£2.95. Raw - Anubis porter was good, £3.20

After an extremely long walk from the football ground to the Bridle Lane Tavern, I strolled back to the edge of the city centre to this very good pub. I do believe it is the local CAMRA pub of the year and it is also the brewery tap for the Dem Bones brewery. None of their beers were on this time. But they did have Brightside Amarillo, Billericay Blonde, Animal Orange & Elderflower Wheat Beer, Dorset Brewing Co. Durdle Door, Okells Autumn Dawn & Milk Street Prohibition Pale Ale on. Cider was Ankerville Vimto Cider from Scotland. I'm not sure if this qualifies as a real cider. But it was very pleasant and you'd never guess it was 7.4%! Another excellent Leicester pub.

Great real ale pub.
ever changing range of real ales. Landlord and staff very friendly. Produces its own bread and real ale. would recommend to any real ale drinker visiting Leicester.
