4 cask ales in a homly, traditional local slightly off the main road. Worth a visit.

Never visited under previous regime, but pub still features friendly welcoming staff in a proper unspoiled old fashioned pub. Probably full of locals, but lovely atmosphere greeted visitors. Landlord keen to please. Decent Shepherd Neame beer: Masterbrew, Autumn Red & Whitstable. Well worth seeking out, visit this pub & keep gems like this is business.

Regulars will be sad to hear that the landlord Dixie has retired and the pub has been taken over by new management. Eeek. Reopening in about a month... I hope they don't refurb it to death.

Just popped here for two lunchtime pints of Masterbrew. A real find. Pub looks great on the inside and out. A traditional pub, perfectly proportioned, with good beer, newspapers and a dartboard. Friendly owners and no nonsense. A little gem.

During a pub crawl of Old Street/Hoxton we walked into this pub.

Fantastic. A real contrast to the George & Vulture round the corner.

A proper pub. Good atmosphere. Great SN beer and good service.

No Hugo & Milos. I reckon quite a few Daves.

Pubs like this need to be saved forevr and not changed into a gastro pub.

Visit.
