Lots of 50-60 somethings, all trying to appear like COOL teenagers. Lots of shaveheads wearing shades.

Nice place but bar area too small for the amount of people. Had to queue for ages to get a drink so didn't spend as much money as i had planned to. Decent music and with an older audience far better than other places in town. After the pubs close a good place to finish your night.

I like it here even though it isn't really one for the beer crowd. Apart from Greene King IPA (ugh!) you've got a choice between Strongbow, Guinness and the same lagers you get everywhere else. A really nice ambience in here though and even I don't mind drinking lager in here to chill out. A bit more variety in drinks would make it even more popular with a more varied crowd through the day but apart from that I like it here for a bit of a change from the chavvier places in town.

Mendoza's seems to be aimed at the post-party crowd as it has quite a pleasant ambience, no really loud music and a decent selection of food. There is a comedy act every weekend, there was live music during the week but this is being discontinued. I'd dare to suggest it's a place to go for those of us old enough to know better but young enough not to want to go home at 11pm.
