We visited on Saturday the beers we tried were in tip top condition,a little pricey for the area and the pints are very carefully not top up.A bare board basic pub but it was very clean.7/10.

Really good boozer, serving top ales. Oakham Citra on top form.

Really impressed - we expected a good locals' pub with great beer but got a really enjoyable community establishment too. Amid characterful streets which betray the town's shoemaking roots, a lot of care goes into how this pub is run. Ales are primarily local but did include a divine Inferno from Oakham.

Slightly in two minds about this one. The beer was good, and nice to see lots of local brews. The music was good too. But the barmaid seemed to resent having her conversation interrupted to serve me, and there was a baby yelling its head off all the time I was there. Would probably go back, but preferred the Wig & Pen, Malt Shovels and Eastgate for a pub in Northampton.

Went to this pub on Wednesday lunchtime. Had lunch here, the menu was ok but limited. Did want fish and chips but one of the fryers not working.

Beer selection very good, 4 real ales on. I think they were all local ones too.

Nice patio beer garden out back, done a very good job with the limited space they have. About 5 mins walk from the bus station.
