IN THE LAST 18 MONTHS
I HAVE RECENTLY STARTED DRINKING IN THIS "LOCAL"PUB AGAIN,AND HAVE FOUND IT TO BE,
CHARMING,CLEAN,PLEASENT AND A JOY TO BE IN.
THE STAFF ARE 9/10 CHEERFUL,HELPFUL AND POLITE.
THE FOOD IS COOKED THE WAY YOU WANT AND IS BY FAR THE CHEAPEST AND BEST PREPARED "PUB GRUB"I HAVE HAD IN MANY A YEAR.
FRIDAY NIGHTS IS LIVE MUSIC NIGHT,WHERE MOST OF THE TIME THE ACTS ARE EXTREMLY GOOD AND MAKES THE EVENING EVEN BETTER.
THE LANDLADY WHO TOOK OVER JUST AFTER THE LAST COUPLE
(WHEN IT WAS WIDELY KNOWN AS "THE MISERABLE MINUTE)HAS DONE A GREAT JOB OF GIVING THE CUSTOMERS ALMOST EXACTLY WHAT THEY WANT,A GOOD ATMOSPHERE,VERY GOOD BEER(OBVIOUSLY CLEANS THE LINES MORE THAN ONCE A MONTH)LIVE MUSIC GREAT FOOD AT AFFORDABLE PRICES AND ALWAYS WITH A SMILE.
THIS WAS MY LOCAL UNTIL A FEW YEARS AGO WHEN THE SERVICE DIPPED BELOW WHAT I WOULD CLASS AS ACCEPTABLE,IT HAS NOW YET AGAIN BECOME NOT ONLY MY LOCAL AGAIN,BUT SO MANY PEOPLE HAVE STARTED TO RETURN FOR A HAPPY COUPLE OF HOURS.
THIS PUB IS NOT JUST A LOCAL IT HAS TURNED INTO A LIVING ROOM WHERE YOU CAN CHAT,DANCE+EAT AT VERY REASONABLE PRICES.A JOY TO DRINK IN.
