| We visited thei pub on the 19th of April 2012 and ordered four meals, after waiting 45 minutes the food finally arrived. Three out of the four meals were inedable and had to be returned, this is the only restaurant I have been into were they have managed serve potatoe wedges that were both shriveled and limp at the same time. My wifes stew was completely dry with no juice remaining at all. No apology from the manager, no offer of a discount. | We visited this pub on Sunday 22nd January 2012 and we were extremely disappointed. The pub has recently been refurbished and improvements have been made to the decor and ambience, however, considering this is Marston's Flagship pub only two draft beers were available, even though the Brewery is next door. We all know how the 2for1 meal system works, you pay over the odds for the first meal and get the second for free! But the customer should also feel like they are getting a decent meal. The vegetables are watery and the meat qyality is poor. When the waitress asked us if we were happy with our meals, we said no and she walked away laughing. I dont think anyone had ever said they werent happy before and she didnt quite know how to handle the situation. No one asked us what was wrong and no discount was offered. Very disappointing.
