Bill and Steven have worked really hard in the time they have been in the Pride to turn this pub around. What was once known as a "trouble pub" is now a really nice place to spend some time and enjoy some good ales. You are guaranteed a warm welcome. They provide plenty of comfy seating with no television screens and tastefull background music. The food at the moment is basic but very good value.
Give the Pride a try.
You won't be dissapointed

Well done to the new guys ( Bill and Steve) running the pub. No more TV, pool table or juke box. Nice and quiet with comfy sofas. My husband just loves the excellent range of beers! The bar snacks are tasty and generously sized with "specials" and snacks are available on the bar on a Sunday served with locally made chutneys; the best door-step sandwiches I've had for ages. The live music night's are good fun. It's good to see the pub organising charity events, too.

Lets just say that if Kent is proud of this grot-hole, Id hate to see something of which Kent is ashamed.

I'll be generous and give the place 3/10, which will actually bring it's score up.

Unattended kids run around the bar whilst their parants are smoking, drinking (too much)and watching the overloud telervisions.
This pub once had a bad reputation. After a great improvement under Terry Gwilliam, it is as bad as ever!
