Paid another visit back in February. Acorn Blonde and Acorn Barnsley Bitter were available on hand pump, with another couple of pumps unused. I went for the blonde at £1.70 for a half. Not an outstanding ale but not unpleasant. Would be happy to go back and pay another visit.

Visited last week, late afternoon. Was pretty quiet at the time of my visit - there was a couple at the bar barely speaking to each other, and presumably some people dining in the front of the pub as it took a while to get served as the diners were tended to.

At the bar, 5 pumps, of which 3 were on. Stancill Blonde by Stancill Brewery (3.9%), Black Sheep, and TT Landlord. Naturally I tried the Blonde, at £1.70 for a half. The Blonde was OK, nice enough but had a bit of a strange tangy aftertaste.

This is a smart pub restaurant, modern, contemporary and stylish. Also had a real fire. As blue_scrumpy mentioned, the toilets are very impressive. A bit cold for the garden at the time of my visit so I stayed indoors.

The Cadeby Pub & Restaurant seems to be a fairly trendy, upmarket establishment. The interior has a number of rooms and there is a garden at the front, which was very peaceful. Bar staff are friendly. They offer professional service. But unfortunately food service had just stopped for the day. So we were destined to stay hungry. Ales were Black Sheep Best Bitter, Timothy Taylor Landlord & Acorn Blonde. The toilets were impressive. They are nicely decorated and actually had display cabinets advertising the pub's events and wares within. The whole thing felt a bit pretentious. But it can be forgiven, as the location and peacefulness was a welcome change from other pubs we tried in South Yorkshire. From here, we moved onto the George & Dragon, Imperial Brewery Tap, Falcon & Concertina Band Club, all in Mexborough. But it appears BITE hasn't reached Mexborough yet!

Good venue. Sit outside when weather permits or enjoy inside a traditional country pub - well thats the theory anyway. Reality is a bit plastic inside and very commercialised with weddings and function rooms. After saying that a welcoming atmosphere and good service (even with a wedding in the function room when I visited)
Choice of hand pulled beers. I opted for a blonde which was good
Food was pretty good although top end on price.
Despite the negatives, I will visit again and recommended
