A very nice pub with a good range of ales. I had a beautiful pint of Bread of Heaven, but no ciders on tap. overall I very much enjoyed the place

Indeed one of the last genuine country pubs left, which is mostly patronised by the friendly locals. Excellent selection of guest bitters to cater for those discerning palettes. Great food too. During the summer, you can enjoy the fantastic lawned garden with direct access to the river Beult (shh, but you can canoe up to this pub too!). In winter, it is cosy, the only pub in Yalding that you can sit in without your coat on! You could do a lot worse, you'll have to go a long way and spend a lot more to do any better.

One of the last "proper" pubs. Most of the people you'll see when you walk in are locals having a pint, but they do food too, and the sunday lunch is a bargain! Huge beer garden that leads down to the Beult for summer, cosy warm inside for winter.

A couple of years ago the choice of real ales started to be decided by a committee of the more serious (and picky) beer drinkers, which means it all turns over VERY quickly. Now CAMRA recommended. Always a good pint here.

Less upmarket than the Walnut Tree, now the only other pub in Yading, but it is a historic building and the large beer garden has a riverside frontage along the Beult. However, the beer isn't always the best kept (as exemplified by my pint of Adnams) and the choice is limited. All in all - could do better.
