I always think of Brunning & Price pubs as slightly upmarket restaurants which sell beer, but maybe that's because I've visited at popular eating times. The B&P Original Bitter was very nice (and the cheapest at £3.70) so I didn't try the other beer offerings (which included one from Three Tuns). Slightly annoyed to find that the bill included a £8.30 glass of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc rather than the requested cheaper French version. paul_d102 - 19 Nov 2018 10:41 |
Was hoping to visit this pub soon with some pals to fish the River Severn which flows in front of the pub. However, since becoming a gastro pub angling is no longer allowed so we won't be bothering.. wirraldrinker - 7 Jul 2015 21:09 |
Wow! What a transformation, hardly recognise this place from what it was before. Very busy Thursday night whith diners and drinkers. 6 or 7 real ales on on top form, mainly local - Ironbridge Gold, Shropshire lad, Three Tuns XXX, Shropshire Gold etc. Didn't eat from the extensive menu which although pricey did look to be good value from what we saw being delivered to tables - we will next time A great referb and a great addition to the area stevane - 2 Nov 2012 17:42 |
Was bought by Brunning and Price pub group a while ago. Has been undergoing a huge refurbishment, and the building of a 1st floor sun-deck for the summer. Re-opens next Tuesday (23rd October), should be a great asset to the gorge. PoorBeerHater - 19 Oct 2012 11:16 |
A striking black and white building overlooking the River Severn at Coalport. Reached from the Ironbridge side of the river via a single lane, converted railway bridge. Large car park. Cask ales and food available. Lovely terraced gardens leading down to the river. A favourite of mine for the fishing. wirraldrinker - 20 Apr 2010 11:20 |
