please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Not a bad way to start our weekend in the Ironbridge Gorge area with a quick pint of good Hobsons Old Prickly after visiting the nearby Jackfield Tile Museum. Food menu looked reasonably priced although only drinkers present when we visited (including the locals sitting at the bar). Nice setting overlooking the river.

Dreadfully downtrodden, shabby interior, smelly and dog-earred. A pity, because I've previously had good experiences in here, but my last was not so. The beer was putrid and the air was rancid from stale smoke drifting in from the door to the smoking area.

I shall continue to pop in every now and again out of sheer optimism, but I wouldn't recommend this pub just at the moment, especially when there are better pubs (in every respect) within a few minutes' walk.

Decent pints of Hobsons twisted Spire, Abbot Ale and Everards Tiger last weekend plus 2 other cask ales on. Great entertainment from Paul & Adelle Parker

This pub has a slightly unusual cream and green painted exterior that really works. Inside is one L shaped room with several sets of dining tables and chairs to the left and a comfortable looking sofa with loads of cushions to the right along with a couple of bar stools and a quiz machine. There are old black and white pictures on the walls along with some display shelves featuring a tea set and other knick knacks. Theres a small patio outside with a couple of tables and lots of potted plants. Across the road is a large beer garden on the banks of the river, which was very pleasant last night. There are four handpumps, three were on selling Everards Tiger, Hobsons bitter and Twisted Spire. I had a pint of the Twisted Spire which was very good. Its a decent pub is this so Im a bit surprised that it hasnt been reviewed before.
