Having walked over three miles to get here thankfully the pub was open.

A very healthy flow of people on a Saturday lunchtime, certainly the hub of the village.

Cosy inside with a lovely inglenook fireplace at one end.

Three ales on but a little expensive really at £3.80 a pint.

7/10 A reasonable village pub

Visited this pub one Friday evening for something to eat and drink whilst staying nearby. This is a historic pub in the centre of the quaint village of Kentisbeare, parking is a bit tight here it has to be said.

The interior is bright and cosy and also what you may expect of a rural pub. They had 3 ales on offer from the Otter Brewery. The food was good and the staff were great despite being rushed off their feet.

It's great seeing a rural pub thriving and serving the local community in the face of so many pub closures. It was very busy but also very welcoming, it's both child and dog friendly too at the Wyndham Arms. I do recommend you make a visit.

8/10

we spent a week in kentisbeare and used this in the evenings, the food is great, the beer is great, landlord and locals very social. would recommend this pub to anyone visiting kentisbeare.Disregard all older reviews of this pub because the present landlord and staff are brilliant. wish we had this pub in my village.

PLEASE NOTE: This pub changed hands last August and has since gone down hill considerably. The service is as poor as the food and the prices are extrotionate. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!

We went to the Wyndham Arms today for Sunday lunch. We were, sadly, unimpressed.

Issues:
- We waited one hour for our food
- The Peartiser which we were served was 7 months gone off and half fermented.
- The waitress served me my 'diet coke' with the words "here's your pepsi.. Oh, I mean diet coke". I don't really care whether I get coke or pepsi, but why try to conceal the fact it's Pepsi??
- Food was average and the quantity a little stingy
- One of the meals was served with a dead squashed fruit fly on the rim of the plate... Nice touch!
- Beer mats, salt & pepper, a dry table, the menu and gravy all had to be specially requested.
- Although the wait, Peartiser and fruitfly were all brought to the attention of the landlord/lady, none appeared to acquire much of a reaction... More so a look of query and a mental shrug of the shoulders.

On the plus side, the desserts, although we didn't treat ourselves, looked fantastic as they were coming out of the kitchen.

We won't be returning.
