| Now reopened and some refurbishment has been undertaken and is continuing. Three handpumps include a house beer from local micro Mithrill and 2 guests which might be local or national. Food is locally sourced including meats from a local butcher and bread from local bakery. Walls have a gallery from local artists and craftspeople. | One of two pubs in the village, this one was quite pleasant on a sunny spring day. Mithril Flower Power, Wensleydale Curlew's Call, Black Sheep Best Bitter and Marston Moor Oyster Catcher were the real ales. All other customers appeared to be locals.
