| A sign outside indicated this pub is under new management. It was extremely quiet inside on our Christmas Eve afternoon visit, with only 1 other customer. However, service was friendly and it is clear the new owners are keen to make this work. Adnams Bitter & Old Ale and Cottage Christmas Cracker were the real ales. Aspalls was the cider. I plumped for the mulled wine. The main bar was set out for live music later in the evening. A lounge/restaurant can be found on the other side of the central corridor.
