| To use a cliche this is a traditional, town centre local. Frequented mainly by male fans of horse racing and Rugby League when I visited (Saturday lunchtime). It was a peaceful and relaxing place to while away an hour or two. Beers where Tetley's Bitter, Caledonian Top Banana and Theakston's XB. I tried the first two and they were pleasant enough.
