This pub is closed up. Bankruptcy apparently.

The pub has been renovated inside so it has a modern feel. The beer was alright but the beer garden was full of chavs yelling and swearing at each other.

Far too bright for a pub and clearly orientated more towards the food market than beer. a very dull range of ales, and had to settle for a poorly kept masterbrew which seemed to have been kept on a low gas to improve shelf life. no cider on tap either. The toilets were also far to fancy for my liking and definitely didnt have a pub feel.

Ate dinner here on a Tuesday night for my boyfriends birthday. I would NOT recommend this place to eat.
Firstly they service is very impolite, if they bother to speak to you at all.
They took our drinks order, and we were not ordering a bottle of wine, but they still left the wine glasses on the table
Our starters were nice, but quiet bland and definitely over priced
When clearing the empty plates from the starters, they didnt ask if it was OK or engage in any conversation. They also left the side plates. We then had to take cutlery from another table to use for our main as we couldnt get their attention to get us new ones.
The main arrived, I had roast pork which was very good. My partner had steak which he ordered medium. It was so over done that you could literally have used it as shoe leather. I had to go to the bar to get the waitresses attention as she would completely ignore us when walking past in the dining room. I complained to the waitress, who proceeded to just stare at me and eventually said well if I take it then youll have to wait for another one to be cooked. I explained the steak was inedible and so would have to be re-cooked. The steak arrived 20 minutes later (obviously I had finished my meal) and the steak was still over cooked. My boyfriend was so hungry he just ate it. when they cleared the plates I explained that it was still overcooked, and the waitress didnt say a word and just took the plates.
After all this we just wanted to go home, so tried to ask for the bill, but once again completely ignored. So I went up to the bar and paid there. Funnily enough they did not ask if our meal was OK as I think they knew the answer.
If they want to be a restaurant and pub, then they seriously need to train their staff to be waitresses. The service was just plain awful. The food was average and overpriced.
