A run of the mill pub situated between a camp site / caravan park on one side, and a car boot sale site on the other and frequented by the enthusiasts of both. . Nothing very special about the beers, drinkable but only just.

Still open, but under new management as Simon & Tanq have recently decamped to The Far Canal at Wrantage near Taunton.
Early days obviously, but the place was stripped of all the militaria and painted stark white inside on a recent visit, very quiet customer wise too.
A handy location though, might be busier when the Blue Anchor up the road eventually succumbs to cliff erosion...

Is this still here ? Wow, came here for a meal whilst on honeymoon in 1970 and had the best meal ever, and they laid out the red carpet for us. Will have to revisit some day.

Popped in for a couple of pints of smuggled otter and some food when staying in nearby Minehead.

The girl behind the bar was very friendly however she didnt really have anyone to speak to as the place was completely empty on Thursday lunchtime however, Blue Achor itself was completely empty bar the odd elderly couple strolling down the seafront.

Beer was excellent, food was great (best that we ate the whole trip), garden was a peacefull place to soak up some April afternoon sunshine.

The only thing is I wouldnt really describe this place as a pub. More a restaurant with a bar

Hmmm...yes, the food is very very good, as long as you're not a vegetarian. I found the place super clique-ee. I felt that you simply had to eat there to fit in. Just drinking at the bar, I was made to feel very unwanted. The boss who is also the chef, very clearly ONLY really likes his personal gang of wealthy regulars. He also seemed to go out of his way to humiliate his wife.
