| Dreadful place. 20 minute wait for a table, and you are expected to stand with your child all this time. I was rebuked by staff when I went past the barrier to find a table. And this resulted in a strong debate with my wife as to should we stay or not. When we were allowed through and I went to sit at a table of my choice this provoked more discussion as even though there were plenty of empty and ready laid table, we were directed to a corner where we didn't want to sit. Eventually the staff relented. 10 minute queue to be served. Another 20 minute wait for the main course - typical microwaved pub grub. Another 20 minute wait for the desert - typical pub desert. One "cask" (Spitfire), which tasted like keg, though came from a handpull. Place was popular, though not stretched, so why the long waits, I don't know. The reason for the popularity? It has a free children's soft play area. Is it worth enduring the long waits, mediocre food, indifferent service, dull environment, and poor choice choice for the play area? Some people clearly think so. My 2 1/2 year old daughter did. I don't. I would rather pay for a proper soft play area, and go to a decent pub afterwards. SilkTork - 2 Jan 2012 18:09 |

| A hideous cross between a MacDonalds, Little Chef, Kids adventure playground and pub. Full of chav families and their screaming brats in pushchairs. Suggest a 5 mile exclusion zone. lobster56 - 13 Mar 2009 10:02 |
