user reviews of the Three Tuns, Bishops Stortford

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

After a night in Baroosh, the Port Jackson, and the Bridge House it was a relief to visit a traditional local with music at acceptable levels and a pleasant buzz of conversation at the bar. Comfortable, friendly barmaid, and decent real ale, albeit limited to GK IPA and Abbot. Very convenient for the station and worth a visit. Unusually for Bishops Stortford there were no bouncers.

Cracking boozer - I spent a lot of time drinking here in the 80s. They've improved the toilets since then, which used to be dreadful.

went here a couple of weeks ago, very bored with my local. very clean and well decorated, large tv screens all around the place so always a good view of the sports they show. only drinking lager but best pint ive had in stortford, and my mate said the same of the Guiness. although i liked this pub it never had the feel of a local but just a pub where people meet before moving on, or just a quick one after the train . i would use it again.

This is a very good pub,David the landlord knows how to keep his ale at its best, excellent pint of Abbott,( in my book the only decent Greene King Product). It would appear the previous scribe went on the wrong night.

Dingy, smelly pub with overloud music. Has the obligatory Greene King handpumps but they are never used as everyone in this pub drinks lager (and it's expensive!). Small outdoor patio area.
Only points in its favour 1. it's the closest pub to the station if you're desperate for a drink .. er, that's it really.
