| This used to be my local when I lived around there. I still pop in from time to time. It used to be a smoky local pub whose only positive was that they kept the druggies who freqent all the other pubs nearby well away. They served the worst pint of Robinson's bitter anywhere - absolutely no idea, and I had usually to drink the Carling. However recently it has changed hands and the last pint I had there (about two weeks ago) was excellent. I had to have a couple more in fact. The smoking ban has hit this working man's pub very badly - I can't see it staying in business much longer. What a lesson - like a lot of breweries Robinsons never listened to the complaints of non-smokers who wanted to have a drink but would have liked the extractor fans switched on. Someone I know received a very insulting letter from the Robinsons brewery when she complained about this, at this very pub. So remember this Robinsons, when you insult your customers who are making a perfectly reasonable request,try to treat them politely, otherwise they will join the mass of non smoking drinkers and pressure for a law to ban all smoking.
