Monkey hanger 1968 and paulo gave you the warning. Location is stunning but staff attitude and poor quality dont make up for it. Drive by and visit another hospitable pub, there are loads in the area that are actually worth a visit with good beer food and delightful staff.

Like Monkeyhanger1968, I too was disappointed with this pub. The insistence of having to be served beer in horrible plastic glasses because we wanted to sit outside was almost insulting. Plenty of other pubs in Gloucestershire allow you to sit outside with a proper glass. The beer wasn't that brilliant either. The location however was stunning. I would like to go back, but only when the owners allow glasses outside.

I was disappointed with this pub. It's in a prime location next to the river Severn in fantastic surroundings. If you are sitting outside enjoying the scenery you have to have your beer in a flimsy plastic glass, allegedly on health and safety grounds. Most other pubs in the area seem to manage to serve people in proper glasses whether inside or out. The taste of the beer obviously suffered when served like this. Don't think I'll be returning any time soon.
