Mid-terrace locals'' pub that had a live singer on our Sunday afternoon visit. The bar area was packed. A small room just beyond was showing live Premier League football. Whilst another room at the rear offered a bit more solitude. Wye Valley Butty Bach & HPA appear to be the regulars. The guest was Six Bells Spikey Blonde. The music was a bit too loud to enjoy and certainly too loud to hear the price of our round from the barmaid. Locals appeared to be enjoying the music though. Seems like a decent community boozer.

This pub doesnt look very welcoming from the outside as it often has the curtains drawn. To be honest its not a lot better on the inside. Theres a large room at the front and a smaller one to the rear, both have a dartboard. In the front room theres also a pool table and a huge screen TV. They must be good at pub games as there are loads of trophies on the ledges. There are 2 handpumps on the bar but both look unused. Last night they didnt have any Becks or Stella either. This left a choice of Carling or Worthies smooth. Oh great. There were more people outside having a fag than there were in the pub and most sentences seem to involve the word f**k. Its pretty poor really and I certainly wont be calling in again. Having said that, its by no means the worst pub in Wellington, which is a scary thought.
