| This pub provided a welcome break on the Totnes to Torquay walking trail. I couldn't tell if the interior features were original or new built ,"fake olde worlde" . It was very clean and almost a bit clinical with a distinct lack of clutter and memorabillia. But, a pleasant interior nonetheless and a fabulous pint of Teignworthy (gun dog if I remember correctly) made me stay for a second. It looks as though it is geared up for food but, highly commendably (and increasingly rare these days) it had masses of bar stools for the drinkers who enjoy supping and socialising at the bar. | Had lunch here after visiting Compton Castle. A food place, especially by the look of the evening menu. However a sizeable area left over for those only looking for a pint. The Dartmoor was well kept, and at 3.8% a nice find for us drivers. Lunch time menu was good with interesting specials. The roast pork sandwich was huge. Friendly staff.
