Another new pub for me in Watford. I'd been to the Estcourt Arms before a couple of years ago. But I'd given this place a miss. It was very busy prior to a Watford football game, with the rugby also showing. Fuller's London Pride & Tring Moongazer were the two real ales. The bar is L-shaped. But moving around was difficult, as it was so busy. Service was efficient, given how busy it was. Comfortable place. But I prefer the more traditional Estcourt Arms opposite.

I agree with Captain Ralph ( last review). Good pub with real ale and footy. When i visited Pride and a Tring offering. Would recommend and return.

Good pub the Welly, been run by the same people for years and years and their children now seem to be the barstaff!

Good selection of ales, usually a Tring beer, Pride and another. Prices are keen for a southern pub.

Busy on match days and rugby is popular here. Food and B&B accomodation available and one of the best in town nowadays.

I quite like this place. Small boozer with a local beer plus Pride always kept well. Food is good too. Sport always on. It's one I pop in now and again but not as regular as some others I like, but still worth popping in, especially if you want a local beer.

Two ales on offer - London Pride and Jack O'Legs from the Tring Brewery. Pint and a half of the latter cost 4.05 and was in decent enough nick.

Two TVs showing Sky Sports and signed rugby shirts on the wall from Martin Johnson and Lawrence Dallaglio, indicating the rugby friendly nature of the pub.

Not overly big - almost felt like stepping into someone's front room, but a decent enough boozer close to the station.

Cheap food on offer too, if you fancy it.
