| This pub looked seriously unprepossessing from the outside near the culmination of a canal stroll from Long Itchington into Leamington but turned out to be convivial and enjoyable - Leamington FC paraphernalia festoons the walls while a pint of Oakham JHB was good. 4 or 5 other ales of good reputation were on tap while the barmaid sang Christmas tunes with a local drinker whose image is immortalised in paint and plaster behind the bar. | Nice little pub with a couple of rooms and very reliable, high quality beer. They have a board describing the ales and informing punters of what's coming up, which is a nice touch. There are a couple of screens, but these can be avoided in the larger side room. The locals are friendly and the landlord is too. There is a dartboard.
