The Red Lion is the most common pub name in the UK, closely followed by The Crown and Royal Oak. Tuna - 26 Feb 2017 16:02 |
Its hours are still as described by Blue Scrumpy in February. pubsampler - 7 Jul 2016 17:29 |
Judging by the opening times on the door, I was lucky to find this pub open. It currently opens only on Friday evenings and weekend lunchtimes. But it's a lovely country pub with a bar area at the front and a dining area at the rear. Rebellion IPA & Roasted Nuts were the ales. Plenty of character and some nice countryside nearby. Glad it was open. blue_scrumpy - 7 Feb 2016 21:48 |
We were here for Sunday lunch; a limited choice of draught beer (but included a Marlow brew), but really splendid roast lamb, and generous portions too. The other choices were chicken or pork. Good service from Pete the landlord and his wife, whose lively verbal exchanges added humour to the visit. The dining room can be cold, and she did ask if we were warm enough. Given the temperature outside, we were fine. It’s good to see it’s busy again. pubsampler - 11 May 2015 22:04 |
Looking at their website it seems that the opening hours are odd (closes at 9pm latest) and doesn't serve food in the evenings except on Fridays and Saturdays - until 8.30pm only even then. motco - 15 Apr 2014 17:03 |
