| A lovely pub, directly opposite the church. Although I am not a beer drinker, I heard other visitors finding the selection to their liking. Cheap soft drinks and lovely food. I ate there 3 times during my holiday. The menu is small, but the food is locally sourced and delicious. They have a main bar, a snug (which allows dogs) and a medium-sized restaurant. Food is served on modern plates, but you eat with old sterling silver cutlery. I can heartily recommend their garlic mushrooms, steak which was always cooked to perfection as well as being of excellent quality, interesting side salads, lovely baked potatoes. In fact, I only ever saw clean plates, because unlike other pubs in the area, they don't give you a serving that could feed a family of 6!
