| Wife and I ate there on Saturday evening. First class food and top class service by keen young waitress and bar staff. Lovely new decor and pleasant ambience. | I was in the area and looking primarily for somewhere to eat, and secondary to have a decent pint. I read the reviews of this pub, and whilst they were generally positive, I was a little concerned about the bad experience that the most recent reviewer had. Still, I decided to give it a go. And was glad I did, as everything was fine! I took notice of another review on here about the chicken curry being good, so I ordered one of those and a pint of Henry's IPA. The gentleman that served me couldn't have been more friendly and polite. The food was excellent, and the beer was pretty good too. The pub itself is a nice 'classic' country pub, with a bar area, a separate area for diners (although food is also served in the bar area) and a small room with a pool table.
