Very poor customer service, I have never been treated so badly as a customer in my life!! The staff are very rude, the manager is even worse, I was discriminated and felt very threatened by the staffs behaviour. Will NEVER be going back and will be telling my family and friends not to bother going there either, I have been left so shocked by the way I was treated ON MOTHERS day with my family that I have decided to take legal actions as I believe the staff discriminated me and my family! It's a shame this pub was lovely a few years back but sadly the staff have changed and the manager is very rude!! If you want a nice lovely meal I strongly suggest NOT going there!!

Me and my partner visited this place for a Sunday lunch. We ordered a starter and a main, that arrived together, so they took the mains back, and when they were served to us later, they were clearly left on the side to congeal and go cold. We were then told that the meals would be redone, but in fact, they were just reheated, and slopped onto another plate. Even then, the meal was barely edible- safe to say, we just left. Absolutely horrendous, I used to frequent here as a child, I will never go back. Utterly disappointed.

Fantastic place. Clean and fresh inside, plenty for the children to do outside. Possibly the best welcome we have received from any pub for quite some time, nothing was too much trouble. The young lady behind the bar is on the ball, very professional and knows how to keep customers happy. The little ones get crayons and fun books, and balloons. The beer is good (nice crisp pint of IPA). The food is probably how pub food should be - very reasonably priced, not trying to be too clever, and satisfies the whole family. I found myself not wanting to score this place too high so that it doesn't become too popular! A lot of pub owners in the area could do with visiting this place to how it is done.

This pub has been my local since 1996 it has over the last few years seen some changes at the hands of a landlord whos heart was no longer in hospitality however the pub has had a refit and there is a new manageress who with all odds stacked against her is doing her best to restore faith and patrons to this lovely family pub I have now had a few lovely meals here since the new manageress arrived and they have accommodated my daughters gluten intolerance with very little effort I can highly recommend a visit although please be prepared to wait on occasion for food as it now gets busy with regulars retesting the waters ...

Just thought I would warn anyone thinking of going here- please don't the lovely manageress has gone and in her place is a rude arrogant scottish man who doesn't care a jot about the place. Staff are stomping about the place, plates slammed in front of you. Curt service at the bar- unless you get served by the young lady. Food was ok but
