This was a terrible place with bad beer, worse wine and inedible food, but thankfully it has closed down.

If anyone knows what's planned for the place I'd be very interested to know.

I moved to Tooting a few months ago and this is the place me and my housemates go after work for a bottle of wine! They've changed the menu recently for the better, and it's a still lot cheaper than some Balham bars. Not as quirky as the Wheatsheaf up the road but the staff are friendlier and the food is really nice, even my parents liked the tapas when they visited and they're hard to please! There's not many events on which is a shame but it's busy on the weekends anyway and the music is usually good. Fun little bar, good place for a catch up.

Used to like this place, but the bar staff seem to have got really sniffy. I was told last night by one member that the head on my pint (about an inch and a half) was what the landlord had told them to do. This was without me saying a word! She then truly went off on one. Used to like this place, but they can shove it now, it's in the middle of nowhere anyway. If you're passing and dying of thirst, fine go in. But if you want to watch footy there are much better places in Tooting, Streatham and Balham. Nice house red wine, shame about the staff.

Think you probably hit the nail on the head by saying before hitting the tube to Clapham. It's not an area to stay on a Friday or Saturday night so you might have one or two here before moving on so it's never going to get busy.

I always thought the place was OK bit trying too hard for the area and the prices set on the high side to keep out the people who would rather try the Wheatsheaf.

Plus the rumour I heard basically said that the owner is a local landlord who is trying to push up the rent prices in the area by introducing higher end businesses to the area. i could well believe it from the place.

Been to this place 3 times now and everytime has been great! My mates first dragged me to a masquerade ball which was a great laugh, the following day we went back for breakfast (at about 1pm) and had a great fry up. Just done the Monday night poker and it was wicked. Seen a few different staff but they've all been super nice and the drinks have always been top notch. Been told it's quiet normally on a fri/sat night but I dunno why cos I'd deffo go to somewhere like this before hitting a tube for Clapham
