Impressive-looking building tucked away along a side street. It was quite dark inside. Doors opened up at the rear to the neighbouring Stable Bar, which was much busier. One of a number of Bridgnorth pubs currently in the Good Beer Guide, I wasn't overly impressed. Regular ales are Hobson's Town Crier & Twisted Spire & Wye Valley HPA. 2 guests were Ludlow Stairway & Bristol Beer Factory Independence. A fairly small place. But, we managed to grab a table.

Went for food with friends on a Saturday night - place was heaving, so glad we had booked. Excellent meal and very personable staff. Had a couple of pints of what the guy servinbg us said was a 'ruby porter' from Hobsons. Didn't catch the name - not sure Hobsons do such a thing (except Postmans Plum Porter at Xmas). Might have been Old Henry. Anyway it was excellent !

Wow - C16th Coaching House. #1 for food in Bridgnorth (according to Tripadvisor), in the Good Beer Guide 2017.

Had to be checked out.

Lived up to all expectations. Great staff. Prompt Service. Excellent Food and the best Hobsons Town Crier I have had.

The Stable Bar in the back courtyard is worth checking out - although its nothing to do with the pub.

Definitely worth a visit although the Pardoes wasn't on top form. However the food is brilliant. We followed up with beers at the Stable Bar behind; see separate entry.
